TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE
The following guide will assist you in determining problems, errors, and operational questions
you may encounter with your Detecto
®
DL Series Price Computing scale.
Problem
The scale will not power on.
Possible Solution
A. Make sure the AC power cord is FIRMLY pressed up into the socket on the scale.
B. Is the AC power cord fully inserted into the wall receptacle?
C. Check the wall receptacle for proper AC power by trying another electrical appliance in
the same receptacle. Does it work?
D. Check the circuit breaker.
E. Has there been a power failure?
F. Contact your service representative. An internal fuse or component may have failed.
Problem
The scale will not power on, but the display is showing “Key hold while boot strap”?
Possible Solution
Refer to the ERROR CODES section of this manual, error E7.01 to find the stuck key.
Problem
The incorrect weight is displayed.
Possible Solution
A. Has the scale been calibrated?
B. Ensure that the scale platform isn't touching an adjacent object.
C. Have proper operation procedures been followed?
Problem
The scale will not display weight.
Possible Solution
A. There may be an error code displayed on the Tare window. Refer to the ERROR
CODES section of this manual.
B. On the DL1030P and DL1060P, check to make sure the connection between the tower
display cable and the main circuit board has been properly made. Refer to the
INSTALLATION, Attachment of Tower Display section of this manual.
