Step 1
Refer to notes on safe use of Ringlock Stair Towers.
Lace the Base Collars over the Base Jack.
Step 2
Position the Base Jack and assemble the Ledgers.
Make sure that this setup is level. The Base Jacks
can be used to level the components. Use wooden
sole plates boards as necessary depending on the
ground conditions. Where stairs are require to be
setoutonslopingground,refertosettingoutguid-
ance on Page 20.
Put in place two 320 mm wide steel Planks.
Step 3
Erect 3.0m Standards onto each base Collar and
Jack and assemble the Ledgers and Transoms for
therstlift.AlsoassembletheBayBracesonthree
facesofthebay,leaveonebraceo󰀨toallowac-
cess to the Platform Stairs.
Next,assemblethePlatformStair.Theserestonto
the Transom at the top and the bottom of the bay.
Install the Access Barrier to prevent access to the
plankedsectionofthesca󰀨old.
Step 4
Install advanced Guardrails (using Ledgers) in the
liftabove.Ourrecommendationwouldbetouse
proprietarySca󰀨oldStepsanditisrecommended
that both levels of Guardrail are installed at the
sametimewhilsttheSca󰀨oldStepisinplace.
InstallSingleGuardrailsallthewayaroundthebay,
repositiontheSca󰀨oldSteponthesingleguardrail
accordingly.
Double guardrails to ledger side of tower at planked
section with one access barrier.
