Step 1
➤ Preparethefoundationforthesca󰀨old.
➤ InstallBaseCollarsontheAdjustableBaseJacks,
and set them out roughly in position with their cor-
responding Ledgers. Pick the highest ground level
for the starting point to simplify later adjustment. It
helps if the Base Jack adjusting handle is near the
bottomofthethread.Thiswillallowmaximumad-
justment on the lower ground levels.
➤ The Base Jack must be located centrally on
sole plates boards.
➤ Forlevelsurfaces,startatoneendwherethescaf-
foldisrequired,andbuildtowardstheotherend.
SettheBaseJackaslowaspossible.Onlevelsur-
faces,theyshouldallbeatapproximatelythesame
height.
➤ Each rosette has eight openings. The smaller
openings are generally used to help guide the scaf-
foldingtomake90degreeconnections,whereas
the larger opening enable connections at variable
angles to be achieved.

➤ Unlesserectingasca󰀨oldaroundacircularbuilding
structure,aligntheBaseCollarrosettessothatone
of the small openings in the rosette points in the
Ledger direction. The small openings at right angles
totherstwillautomaticallyaligntheTransomsat
90 degrees.
➤ The larger openings are generally used for connect-
ing the diagonal braces.
