f) Piston pin
z Measure the amount of wear on
the piston pin at the points as
shown. The measured values
are beyond the limit replace the
pin.
Standard Limit
φ 45.994 ∼ φ 46.0 mm φ 44.983 mm or less
g) Piston pin and connecting rod bush clearance
z Inspect the clearance between
the piston pin and the
connecting rod bush, if it is
more than the use limit value,
replace either one that is more
severe.
Limit 0.055 ~ 0.071 mm
h) Connecting rod
z Check the connecting rod for
distortion. As shown in the
figure below, install the
connecting rod to the
connecting rod tester, and
check for distortion using a
feeler gauge. If the connecting
rod is found distorted, never re-
use it but replace with a new one.
z Measure the alignment of the
connecting rod piston pin
bushing holes with connecting
rod big end holes. At this time
also, use both connecting rod
tester and feeler gauge.
