4. Connect the AC adapter and power cord.
Connect the power cord to the AC adapter and plug the other end into a grounded
AC outlet. Then connect the adapter to the DC power connector on the rear of the
monitor.
CAUTION: To reduce the risk of electric shock or damage to the equipment:
- Plug the cord into a grounded (earthed) outlet. Do not disable the
power cord grounding pin, for example, by attaching a 2-pin adapter.
The grounding pin is an important safety feature.
- Disconnect power from the monitor by unplugging the power cord
from the AC outlet. Do not pull on a cord or cable. When unplugging
from the AC outlet, grasp the cord by the plug.
- Do not place anything on power cords or cables. Care should be taken
to route or arrange all cords and cables connected to Spectrum so
that they cannot be pulled, grabbed, stepped on, or tripped over.
