† A vent shall not terminate directly above a sidewalk or paved driveway that is
located between two single family dwellings and serves both dwellings.
*For clearances not specied in ANSI Z223.1/NFPA 54 or
CSA B149.1, clearance will be in accordance with local
installation codes and the requirements of the gas supplier
and these installation instructions.
‡ Permitted only if veranda, porch, deck or balcony is fully open on a
minimum of one side beneath the oor.
Note: Local Codes or Regulations may require different clearances. Flue terminal must be exposed to external air and position must
allow the free passage of air across it at all times. In certain weather conditions the terminal may emit a plume of steam. Avoid
positioning terminal where this may cause a nuisance.
