The flame monitor's protection type is only guaranteed when the cover and the plug-in
cover are both mounted. The flame monitor must not be operated when open.
D-LX…/M20 and D-LX…/NPT:
Use a suitable cable gland with a M20 x 1.5 or NPT ½"
thread, and with at least the temperature range of the flame monitor. Make sure that
the flame monitor's protection type is achieved. For explosion-proof devices, only ever
use suitable and approved cable glands.
The flame monitor can bridge interruptions in supply voltage of up to 20ms.
The position of fuse F1 is visible in the following figure:
WARNING
Fault message due to defective flame monitor!
Fuse F2 protects the relay for the flame ON signal. This fuse must only ever be
replaced by the manufacturer, followed by a functional test of the flame monitor. Only
then may the flame monitor be used again. Therefore:
Do not replace fuse F2.
Send the defective flame monitor to the manufacturer.

In order to set the amplification characteristic and to replace the fuse, the cover will
need to be removed (
disconnect the flame monitor before starting work
). For
information on removing the cover, see section 7.4 Opening and closing the housing
[}55].
