3. Check the stitch formation when the hook moves from right to left and
from left to right.
4. If necessary, correct the contact pressure of the retention spring (3)
by aligning the spring.
• Reduce the contact pressure if the needle thread loop (1) is not
pushed beyond the holding point (2)
• Increase the contact pressure if the needle thread loop (1) is not
held at the holding point (2) until the needle plunges into the thread
triangle

Proper setting
When the machine is locked in place at top dead center of the needle bar,
the thread take-up disk (3) is positioned 5 mm above the carrier plate (2)
(slot E ( p. 13)).
