ECO Mode
If the inverter mode is activated, the batteries will not be charged despite available shore
power. If the inverter is switched off, the batteries will be charged by the charger in case
of available shore power.
UPS Mode
Scenario 1: Shore power available during daytime
T0 – T5: (bypass mode)
If the system is started and shore power is available, the bypass mode starts automati-
cally, the inverter mode is deactivated and all devices are supplied with shore power. As
long as the battery voltage is >11 V*, the integrated charger remains deactivated in this
phase. Everything is charged by solar power.
The solar power charges the batteries with a IUoU charging characteristic (max.
14,4 V*) and remains afterwards at a maintenance-charge voltage of 13,8 V*.
Scenario 2: Shore power fails at night
T5 – T6: (UPS function/inverter function)
If the shore power connection is disconnected and no solar power is available the device
switches automatically from bypass mode into inverter mode. Due to the disconnection
of solar and shore power the batteries are used for power supply and discharged until
max. 11 V*.
Scenario 3: Shore power returns at night
T6 – T9: (Charging with charger)
As soon as shore power is available, the device switches immediately to bypass mode
and the batteries are charged by the integrated charger. If there is no solar power avai-
lable but shore power, the batteries will be charged to a 100%.
Scenario 4: Shore power fails a second time at night
T9 – T10: (deep discharge of batteries in emergencies)
If the shore power connection is disconnected a second time and there is no solar power
available (at night for example) and the device switches into inverter mode, the batteries
are discharged to 10,5 V* and then disconnected.
Scenario 5: Simultaneous charging according to Scenario 4
T10 – T11: (simultaneous charging after emergency)
