switch stacking
button
This command sets the switch to operate in stacking mode. Use the no form to
disable this function.
Syntax
[no] switch stacking button unit
unit - Unit identifier. (Range: 1-8)

Command Usage
ā Use this command on all stack members.
ā Use the switch master button command to specify one unit as the stack master.
ā Every switch in the stack must be rebooted to activate this command. Note that
the configured setting is not affected by changes to the start-up configuration
file.

Console#switch stacking button 1
Console#
show switch master
button
This command shows the status of the master button.

ā If the stack has not been initialized, āNā will be displayed in the switch ID field.
