10 User Interface Commands Event Logging and Alerts
For certain user interface commands (detailed within the document) the GSME shall record an
event of 0x8161 “User Interface Command Input and Successfully Actioned” in the GSME Event
Log. If unsuccessful the GSME shall record an event of 0x8162 “User Interface Command Input
but not Successfully Actioned”. In both cases the message code of the user interface command is
to be stored in the additional information field of the Event entry. See [GBCS] section 16.4 for the
User Interface Command Codes.
The Event Log itself can only be remotely accessed by Head End and is not shown in the User
Interface (UI). The Details of Event Codes are added in the sections below.
11 Menu Structures
The root of the tree menu is only activated once the commissioning process has been completed.
Once completed it will push to the main menu headings (Billing, Security, Information, and
Message). Press and holding the Right button on each of these headings will open the submenus.
Pressing the left and right buttons navigates between the menu headings. See Table 3 for more
information.
