Not valid
UTRN not authentic.
Not suitable
UTRN is not for this device.
If an invalid or used UTRN is entered, the meter will prompt for the UTRN to be re-entered. If
the UTRN entry fails for the number of times specified by the supplier the user interface will be
locked out for one hour.
13 Activate Emergency Credit
Emergency credit can be made available to ensure that supply is not interrupted in circumstances
defined by the supplier. If it is available, it can be activated in two instances, either:
When the meter balance has fallen below the Emergency Credit Threshold specified by the
supplier, but has not yet fallen below zero.
When the meter balance has fallen below zero and the supply has been disabled.
As described in Section 9.9.2. once the Meter Balance is equal to or less than the Emergency
Credit Threshold the first line of the display will automatically scroll through 2 lines to prompt the
customer to activate Emergency Credit.
Emergency Credit Threshold Events
If the meter balance has not fallen below zero, but below the Emergency Credit Threshold (i.e. the
supply has not been disabled), and emergency credit is available, the Home screen will display (for
example).
When displaying this, the UI buttons perform the following functions:
Left / Right
Cycles through balance/consumption on bottom row.
OK
Activates main menu.
Return
Activates Emergency Credit.
The Activate Emergency Credit operation will result in an Event Log entry with User Interface
Command Code 0x0002.
