7.4.1 Water quality
In order to ensure long trouble-free operaon the cooling-water must not contain any oils,
greases and suspended solids. Moreover, we recommend compliance with the following
limit values:
Appearance Clear, free of oils and greases
Suspended maer < 250 mg/l
Parcle size < 150 μm
Electrical conducvity < 700 μS/cm
pH value 7.0 to 9.0
Total hardness (total alkaline earths) < 8 °dH
Aggressive carbon dioxide None, not detectable
Chloride < 100 mg/l
Sulfate < 150 mg/l
Nitrate ≤ 50 mg/l
Iron < 0.2 mg/l
Manganese < 0.1 mg/l
Ammonium < 1.0 mg/l
