9.2 Maintenance intervals
Standard maintenance acvies are listed below. These acvies are given for standard
operang condions and may dier depending on the harshness of your applicaon.
Therefore the maintenance plan might need to be adapted to your process condions. If in
doubt, please contact Edwards for any further advice.

Clean the heat exchanger 1 year (only air cooled versions)
Complete overhaul in Edwards service centre 4 years or 32,000 operang hours
Leak check the enre pump system aer all maintenance and assembly work and upon
request
9.3 Checking the oil
WARNING: RISK OF BURNS
Before removing the oil-drain or oil-ll plug always switch o the pump rst and vent to
atmospheric pressure. When the pump has become warm during operaon the casing
and the oil temperature may exceed 80 °C. Leave the pump to cool down. Always wear
protecve gloves also to protect yourself against aggressive residues in the oil
The oil-level should be between the boom and top of the glass for a non-operang pump.
When the pump is operang the oil-level is slightly lower than in a stac condion.
If the oil shows any signicant change in normal colour consider an oil change and contact
Edwards.

(on page 16)
. Only use Edwards oil.
