The pump controller can be operated through the 15-way D-type logic interface
c
onnector. The signals on the logic interface are:
▪ control inputs: switch type and analogue signals that controls the pump.
▪ status outputs: to idenfy the status of the system Tab.
For serial control select RS232 or RS485. Refer to Serial Comms Interface manual
A73501860.
For control modes refer to Table: Manual control mode.
For logic interface data refer to Logic interface data on page 29.
2.5 Auto-run
The auto‑run seng congures the pump to start automacally when the power is
switched on, without any customer intervenon.
You can congure the auto‑run through serial communicaons, or with the start or stop
buon. Push and hold the start or stop buon for more than eight seconds to enable or
disable the auto-run seng. The auto-run LED displays the auto-run seng.
The pump can be stopped by either manual, parallel or serial control modes when in
auto‑run mode.
Note:
R
efer to Operaon safety on page 26 for guidelines on how to congure dierent
operaonal modes and any associated earnings to consider.
2.6 Pump controller conguraon
The integral pump controller monitors the power and temperature of the pump. The
pump controller protects the user and the pump when the pump is operated under
sustained high load or in fault condions.
The pump controller has the interface control panel and the pump can be operated:
▪ manually, with the buons on the user in
terface control panel. Refer to Figure:
Interface control panel.
▪ remotely, through serial communicaons or digital and analogue process control
(parallel), via the 15-way D-type interface connector. Refer to Connecon for
remote control and monitoring on page 24.
