2. Secure the dry pump system with the rubber s
tand-o and two small castors
(Figure: nXRi pumps, (5)).
3. Remove the plasc caps from the inlet and exhaust before you connect the pump
to the vacuum system. Use appropriate NW vacuum ngs for connecon to the
system.
Obey the instrucons that follows when you connect the pump to the vacuum system:
Connect the pump to an exhaust line to minimize the noise and the exhaust
emissions.
Make sure that the pipeline connected to the pump inlet is as short as possible.
Make sure that the pipeline has a minimum internal diameter to get maximum
pump speeds.
Put support under the vacuum pipeline to prevent the load on the coupling joints.
Make sure that the pump exhaust line is not blocked as a pressure of 3 bar(g) can
be generated in the exhaust pipework. Connect the pump with appropriate
pipework and ngs.
If necessary, install exible bellows in the system pipelines to reduce the
transmission of the vibraon and to prevent the load on the coupling joints. The
pressure rang of the bellows must be higher than the highest pressure generated
in the system. We recommend that you use the manufacturer's bellows.
If you use an exhaust extracon system make sure that it is appropriate for use
with all pumped process gases. Make sure that the exhaust extracon system is
not blocked or obstructed when the pump is in operaon.
4.4 Leak test the system
CAUTION: SYSTEM LEAK TEST
Risk of injur
y or damage to equipment. Do the leak test of the system aer
installaon. Seal all the leaks found to prevent leakage of dangerous substances out
of the system and leakage of air into the system.
We will accept no liability or warranty claims for damages caused from ammable
mix
tures because of air leaks.
1. Do the leak test of the vacuum system aer installaon.
2. Seal all the leaks found.
4.5 Electrical installaon
WARNING: ELECTRICAL CONNECTION
Risk of electric shock. The electric
al installaon must be done by a qualied person.
Always make the electrical connecons to the pump aer the pump has been
installed on the vacuum system.
