4.5.2 Connect the electrical supply
WARNING: PROTECTIVE EARTH CONNECTION

e sure that the pump and electrical cables are suitably
protected against earth (ground) faults. We recommend you aach a protecve earth
(ground) conductor (with a cross seconal area of 2.5 mm
2
/14 AWG) to the
protecve earth (ground) stud.
Make the electrical c
onnecon to the pump mains connector port (Figure: nXRi pumps,
(10)) with an appropriate cord set. Refer to Table: Recommended cord sets.
The pump must be grounded through the conductor of the mains input connector.
4.6 Connecon for remote control and monitoring
To operate the pump with parallel or serial control, the 15-way D-type connector must
be used (Figure: nXRi pumps, (8)).
Refer to Figure: Logic interface connecons - analogue speed control for details of the
logic interface pins.
The pump is also equipped with a front USB port for service purposes using serial
communicaon. This connector cannot be used for pump operaon, but for seng and
reading parameters and for pump monitoring.
