What is VESA DPMS?
The acronym VESA stands for “Video Electronics Standards
Association,” and DPMS stands for “Display Power Management
Signaling.” DPMS is a communication standard that PCs and
graphics boards use to implement power savings at the monitor side.
What is NUTEK?
NUTEK is the acronym for the Swedish National Board for Industrial
and Technical Development, an organization that works to promote
power-saving technologies.
What is ENERGY STAR?
“ENERGY STAR” is a set of power-saving guidelines issued by the
U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). The guidelines apply to
PC systems and peripherals.
AutoPower Function
Once the monitor’s main power has been switched ON, the monitor will
start up automatically whenever the PC is turned on. If the
PowerManager is set to VESA DPMS or NUTEK, the monitor will
automatically power down (to PowerManager Mode 2) when the PC is
turned off. If the PowerManager is set to OFF, however, the monitor
power will remain on even after the PC is switched off.
