TROUBLESHOOTING
BEFORE PROCEEDING, DEPRESSURIZE THE AIR TANK TO ZERO AND
DISCONNECT THE DEVICE FROM THE MAINS.
The equipment, in particular the cooling fan, must be kept clean to ensure the long-term
efficiency of the cooler the cooling fins must be cleaned occasionally to remove any dust.
Troubleshooting can be performed only by qualified personnel.
MALFUNCTIONS
POSSIBLE CAUSE
REMEDY
Compressor does
not start
No voltage at the pressure switch
Check the voltage in the socket
Checking the main switch - turn on
the switch (4) to the “I” position. (Fig.
9)
Loose conductor at terminal tighten
Check the electrical cord replace
defective cord
Turn on the switch (2) on the pressure
switch (1) (Fig. 9)
Compressor in a cabinet - not
connected to the cabinet by a cord -
create a cord connection from the
cabinet (chap. 14)
Compressor (without a cabinet) which
previously worked in a cabinet - there
is no connection in the terminal strip
(chap. 19.10)
Motor winding failure, damaged
thermal overload protection
Faulty capacitor
Seized piston or other rotating part
Pressure switch does not switch
Replace motor or windings
Replace capacitor
Replace damaged parts
Check the function of the pressure
switch
Cabinet switch does
not switch off the
compressor
There is a compressor in the cabinet
that previously worked separately
(there is a jumper in the compressor
terminal strip)
Remove the jumper from the terminal
strip, see. Chap. 19.11
Compressor often
switches on
Air leak in compressed air
distribution system
Leaking non-return valve
Large volume of condensed liquid in
pressure vessel
Low compressor performance
Check compressed air distribution
system seal loose joints
Clean non-return valve, replace
seals, replace non-return valve
Drain condensed liquid
Check the time to fill the air tank
Low pressure in air
tank (compressor
running constantly)
High air usage by device, Leak from
pneumatic distribution system, Low
air pump output
Air pump malfunction
Dryer malfunction
Decrease air consumption
Use compressor with higher capacity
Check pneumatic system seal
loose connections
Clean / replace the pump
Clean / replace the pump
Replace dryer
