9 DATA TRANSFER SOFTWARE (EDTS

Use EDTS
+
Excel Link for quick and easy
transfer of data from the memory of your gauge
into a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet.
To use the software you will need an interface
cable and EDTS
+
software. The cable is available
from your local Elcometer supplier or directly
from Elcometer. The software is available free of
charge from the downloads section of the
Elcometer website www.elcometer.com
EDTS
+
can be used on computers operating on
Windows 95 (service pack 1), Windows 98, ME,
Windows NT, Windows 2000 and XP.
9.1 Installing EDTS
+
The Installation conforms to the standard
Windows method.
9.2 Connecting the gauge
1. Plug the 9-pin female D-type connector on
one end of the data transfer cable into the
COM port on the PC.
2. Plug the connector on the other end of the
data transfer cable into the RS232 socket at
the top of your gauge.
3. Switch on the gauge

2. Select gauge type ‘319’.
3. Click on ‘Setup’ and select Com port 1 or 2.

the on-screen instructions.
