2.5 SWITCHING THE GAUGE ON/OFF
To switch on, press .
Gauges with an integral probe will switch on automatically by placing the probe against a hard surface.
To switch off, press and hold until OFF is displayed.
The gauge will switch off automatically after one minute of inactivity.
2.6 DISPLAY
The display will show the measurement value.
In addition, a number of symbols can appear on the display:
2.7 CHANGING UNITS
To change the units of measurement displayed on the screen
(µm/mm or mils):
With the gauge switched on, press . The symbol on the display will start to flash. Press . The
units will change. To change units again, repeat these steps.
2.8 KEY-LOCK
The gauge is fitted with a ‘Key-Lock’ feature, which is a form of password, to prevent accidental operation
of calibration adjustment - see “Calibration adjustment” on page 16.
