SECTION 5: TROUBLESHOOTING AND MAINTENANCE
5.4 Caring for the Macroduct Straps
The Macroduct Advanced straps are designed to be disposable and it is
recommended that they be discarded after use. New straps may be
purchased from ELITechGroup (SS-269 or SS-270). See Appendix B.
In the event that the operator desires to reuse the straps, do the
following to clean the straps.
1. Soak the straps in 70% Isopropyl alcohol for 1-5 minutes.
2. Rinse soaked straps thoroughly 2 to 3 times in deionized water.
3. Allow to air-dry (high heat may damage straps).
After each cleaning, check for rigidness, brittleness, discoloration, or any
other abnormality. Discard strap if damaged beyond usefulness.
WARNING!
Always discard straps that have been contaminated by blood or other
bodily fluids.
CAUTION:
Avoid cleaning substances that could leave a chloride residue.
