Connecting the scanner
Follow these steps to connect the scanner to your computer or
USB hub.
Note for Windows 98 users:
If you want to connect the scanner to a different USB port on your
computer or hub after installing the scanner software, you must
uninstall the scanner software before switching ports, then reinstall the
software once the scanner is connected to the new port. Follow the
instructions in “When changing the USB port in Windows 98” on page
2-21.
1. Connect the end of the cable shown below to the USB port on
the back of the scanner.
