132 Printer Software Settings
Making the Advanced settings
The settings in the Advanced dialog box give you complete
control over your printing environment. Use these settings to
experiment with new printing ideas or to fine-tune a range of
print settings to meet your individual needs. Once you are
satisfied with your new settings, you can give them a name and
add them to the Custom Settings.
Note:
Advanced settings are recommended for experienced users only.
Incorrect settings can reduce print speed or quality.
The figures in this procedure are taken from Windows XP. The
Windows Me, 98, and 2000 figures may differ slightly.
Some settings may not be available, depending on the Paper Source,
Media Type, and Print Quality settings that you make.
The PhotoEnhance feature only affects images, not text or graphs.
For example, if Sepia is chosen from the Tone list (available when
PhotoEnhance is selected), only the images in a document will
be printed in sepia. Any colored text or graphs in the same document
will be printed in color.
