Prepare a new maintenance box if the current maintenance box is low on space. Because ink used
during cleaning does not evaporate quickly, repeated head cleanings can fill the maintenance box.
You cannot clean the print head if the temperature conditions are not within specifications. See the link
below.
Note: When Auto Cleaning is enabled, the nozzles are checked after head cleaning and, if clogging is
detected, auto cleaning is performed. Depending on the status of the nozzles, this process can take up
to 32 minutes.

Cleaning the Print Head Using the Product Control Panel
You can clean the print head using the control panel on your product.
1. Load roll or cut sheet paper in the printer.
2. Make sure the correct paper type is selected.
3. Select > Maintenance > Print Head Cleaning.
4. Select one of the following:
To clean all nozzles, select All Colors.
To clean specific nozzle pairs, select them.
5. Select OK to start the cleaning cycle.
When the cleaning cycle is finished, a confirmation screen appears.
Caution: Never turn off the product during a cleaning cycle or you may damage it.
6. Select Yes to print a nozzle check pattern.
