  Your Epson printer output might be faded or have lines due to several reasons. It could be that there are missing dots, which means the print nozzles are clogged. In this case, perform a nozzle check and head cleaning by holding down the cleaning button for more than three seconds. Another cause could be incorrect shutter settings on the platen. Adjust them according to the label on the printer. Also, verify that the paper you are using matches the [Media Type] settings.
