PART 1 INTRODUCTION

GENERAL

This Manual contains descriptive, maintenance and spare parts information for the SES 2000 Vac (LS3) autoclave units only.

ASSOCIATED PUBLICATIONS

Separate installation and user instructions are given in the SES 2000 Vac (LS3) autoclave 'Instructions for Use', ST-IM62.

SERVICING

When replacing parts during maintenance procedures ONLY use parts supplied by Eschmann Equipment or the safety of the autoclave may be affected.

PART 2 DESCRIPTION

GENERAL

The autoclave is a portable steam unit heated by electric elements. For sterilization of porous loads, a vacuum is created in the chamber.

OPERATING FEATURES

The following equipment, designed for control or protection, is incorporated in the autoclave:

FUSES

The unit has five fuses, rated as shown in TECHNICAL DATA, connected to the mains supply and relay board.

TRANSFORMER AND POWER SUPPLY COMPONENTS

Includes transformer, voltage regulators, and connections for mains, signals, and sensors.

VALVES AND ASSOCIATED COMPONENTS

Water fill, discharge, steam bleed, air in, and vacuum solenoid valves, plus filters and safety valve.

VACUUM PUMP, CONDENSER, FILTERS, AND SENSORS

Details components like vacuum pump, condenser, filters, chamber and band heater sensors, and ports.

CONTROL BOARDS AND ANCILLARY COMPONENTS

Describes the Control Board, Front Panel Board, Pressure Transducer, Printer, Fans, Band Heater, and EMC Board.

OPERATION CYCLE

Describes the basic sequence of operation during a sterilization cycle, including power on, door status, and programme selection.
