Explanation: Since it takes 6 minutes to ramp from 30°C to 60°C at a rate
of 5°C/min per minute. The final hold time is calculated to be 2 minutes.
10 minutes – (2 minutes + 6 minutes) = 2 minutes
Once the desired options are selected, <click> the Exit button to return to
the Method Screen.

Stirrer: Select On or Off. To choose the stir speed select from Low, Medium
or High by <clicking> through the field.
Valve Heater Temperature (°C): Enter the temperature for the soil valve
heater; this also heats the soil needle.
Concentrator #1 Line Heater Temperature (°C): Enter the temperature of the
soil transfer line.
Concentrator #2 Line heater temperature (°C): Enter the temperature of the
soil transfer line.
Minimizer Bake Time (min): Select On or Off. Enter the time in which the
Minimizer is active. The Minimizer directs the concentrator bake flow through
the Centurion soil needle to help reduce carry over.
NOTE: During this time there will be no flow out of the concentrator vent,
bake flow is out through the soil needle sample pathway.
NOTE: The Minimizer is an option only available with the EST Encon
Evolution Purge and Trap Concentrator.
Printing the Method: <click> the Printer icon. The method can be printed
if the Centurion is interfaced to a printer
Saving the Method: <click> the Save icon and the method will be saved.
