4.2 Cleaning the Centurion WS
1. Wipe the outside of the Centurion W or WS with a clean, damp, lint-free cloth.
Cloth should be dampened with water only. Avoid any cleaning agents that could
cause a hazard as a result of a reaction with parts of the equipment of with the
material contained in it.
2. Use canned air to remove any dust or lint from the fans or inside the unit.
CAUTION: Take care to note possible pinch points labeled on the Centurion
so as not to injure a hand.

4.3 Filling the Water Reservoir
1. Turn off the pressure to the unit by depressing the pressurization switch on the back
of the unit.
2. Let the unit depressurize for a few minutes.
3. Unscrew the top of the water reservoir and set aside.
4. Fill the water reservoir.
5. Place the water reservoir back next to the unit and screw top back on making sure the
top is tight and will not leak.
6. Re-pressurize the unit.
4.4 Diagnostics Screen
<click> the Diagnostics screen icon. The screen will be displayed as shown in Figure 4a.
The Diagnostics screen contains the settings and controls needed to manually operate the
Centurion. Operations include the XYZ axis, soil cup, syringe, water needle and soil
gripper calibration. Other functions include manual temperature control of the heated
zones, gripper position, internal standard calibration and access to the digital inputs and
outputs. Also on display are the various flow pathways.
