System Configuration
The System Computer (SC263 or SC264) runs the Euphonix Emix software and pro-
vides the primary console configuration interface and file management. The computer
also houses the Euphonix TCC serial interface for monitor control, GPIO, and serial
machine control interface. The SC263 (S5B only) features SNMP status monitoring.
DAW Control
The SC264 provides a high-speed network interface with DAWs via the Euphonix
Eucon protocol. Through Eucon, the console can simultaeously control any combina-
tion of up to five DAWs, including Nuendo, ProTools, Logic Pro, and Pyramix. The
SC264 connects with DAWs via a 1000Base-T network switch.
Layouts
Once sources are assigned to physical faders, the assignments can be saved by
using Layouts. Layouts are used to store source assignments across the entire
console or assignments on a selected number of faders. Layouts can be stored
and later recalled to instantly remap the console surface. To understand Layouts,
consider the following examples:
• A console fitted with one CM408T has eight physical faders, therefore up to
sixteen sources can be assigned (Swap and Main per fader). A sample lay-
out may contain sixteen stereo sources assigned to the faders. A total of 32
logical channels could be controlled.
• Another layout may contain sixteen 5.1 sources to the Main and Swap lay-
ers. A total of 96 logical channels could be controlled.
• By recalling the layouts, the console is instantly remapped between the
sixteen stereo sources and sixteen 5.1 sources. Additional layouts can be
stored that contain only sources assigned to a particular set of faders.
Upon recall, only those faders included in the layout will be remapped.
I/O
Euphonix offers a variety of I/O solutions -- all employing MADI audio for connecting to
the DF66/CO600. These include Euphonix “Classic” stand-alone 2RU MADI converters
as well as a flexible Modular I/O system. These are described below:
Analog I/O
The AM713 Analog-to-MADI Converter and MA703 MADI-to-Analog Converter
are stand-alone 2RU units. The AM713 contains 26 analog inputs and 1 AES/SPDIF
input with SRC (2 channels). The MA703 contains 26 analog outputs and 1
AES/SPDIF output.
