Due to the higher viscosity in the hydraulic system and the engine oil circuit at temperatures below 0 °C, severe
damage may be caused if the speed is increased immediately.
Allow the engine to run at low speed for some time at temperatures below 0 °C. The lower the outside
temperatures, the longer the warm-up phases.
Observe the hydraulic system filter's pressure indicator.
Do not connect two batteries in series to produce a starting voltage of 24 V.
Take the following precautions at low temperatures to avoid damaging the wheel loader and make starting easier:
• Use the right coolant mixture.
• Use engine lubricating oil of the correct viscosity class.
• Use a low-temperature diesel fuel.
• Top up the fuel tank at the end of the shift.
• Make sure that the battery is always fully charged.
• Install cold-start aid (see note above!).
