Raw Water System
Whenever the boat is left unattended, the Salt-
water Pump switch should be placed in the OFF
position.
Washdown Hose Connectors
There are two raw water washdown hose con-
nections. One is located on the port side of the
cockpit below the gunnel and the other is in the
windlass compartment at the bow. Both use a
standard garden hose connector. Each connection
is equipped with a valve that allows the ow of
water to the hose to be turned on or off.
Make sure the Seawater Pump switch in the helm
switch panel is on before using the washdown hose
and that the washdown faucet valves and/or hose
spray nozzles are off when the water system is
activated.
CAUTION
DO NOT ALLOW THE WATER PUMP TO RUN DRY. THE PUMP
WORKS ON DEMAND AND WILL NOT SHUT OFF AUTOMATICALLY
IF NO WATER IS AVAILABLE. THIS CAN RESULT IN DAMAGE TO
THE PUMP. ALWAYS TURN THE SEAWATER PUMP SWITCH OFF
WHEN THE RAW WATER SYSTEM IS NOT IN USE.
8.3 Livewells
Seawater is provided to each livewell by a 12 volt
circulation pump. These pumps are designed to
carry a constant ow of water to each well. The
pumps do not have a pressure sensor and are ac-
tivated by the Livewell Pump switches in the helm
switch panel. There is also a light in each well
that is activated by the Livewell Light switches.
An overow built into the drain system automati-
cally controls the water level in each well. Always
turn the pumps off at the switch panel when the
wells are not in use.
To ll the livewells, insert the plug into the drain
tting at the bottom of each well. Make sure the
ball valves on the manifold for each pump and the
supply valve in the well are open. Then activate
the pump. When the water level reaches the
overow, it will begin to circulate.
When the recirculating feature for either well is
activated by the Recirc Pump switches, a separate
pump will recirculate and aerate the water that is
in the wells without drawing additional seawater
into the system. A valve in the side of each well
