3. GENERAL DESCRIPTION
3.1. INTRODUCTION
The Topaz series are small routing switchers ideal for simple switching applications. The Topaz
routers are available in a range of sizes and cover most signal formats.
Each router format: high definition (HD), standard definition (SD), analog video (AV), and analog audio
(AA), is a stand-alone unit. They use external power ‘bricks’ and two such units can be used to provide
a redundant PSU solution. A controller is built into each router. Options include the redundant PSU and
rear mount PSU carrier trays.
