9.0 Malfunctions
The following chapter describes the possible causes of
faults,andtheworkrequiredtoxthem.
In the event of repeated faults, shorten the maintenance in-
tervals in accordance with the actual load.
Contact the manufacturer in the event of faults which cannot
bexedinaccordancewiththeinstructionsbelow;seethe
service address on the back cover page.
9.1 Safety
Electrical equipment
WARNING
Life-threatening danger due to electric shock or electrocution
and crush hazards.
There is a life-threatening hazard when touching live components.
Also, live electrical components can move unexpectedly
and can cause serious injuries.
Therefore:
• Priortostartingwork,switchothepowersupplyandsafeguard
it from being re-started.
Safeguarding against restart
WARNING
Life-threatening danger if restarted without authorization!
When correcting faults, there is danger of the energy supply
being switched on without authorization. This poses a
lifethreatening hazard for persons in the danger zone.
Therefore:
• Priortostartingwork,switchothepowersupplyandsafeguard
it from being switched on again.
Incorrect repair of malfunction
WARNING
Risk of injury and material damage due to incorrect repair
of malfunction
The telescopic pillar is not designed for repair work. Incorrect repair
of a malfunction may lead to personal injury or material damage.
Therefore:
• Never loosen the screws on the telescopic pillar or try to open the
telescopic pillar.
When a malfunction occurs, do the following:
1. In the event of 1 a malfunction that may present an im-
mediatedangertopersonsorassets,turnothepillaror
control unit immediately and safeguard against a restart.
2. Determine cause of malfunction.
3. Depending on the type of a malfunction, have it repaired
byauthorizedqualiedpersonnelorxityourself.
4. Inform responsible party on-site concerning malfunction.
