Additionally, during the inspection, ensure that:
Ì the casing is undamaged, dust-free, and not dirty,
Ì re smoke can reach the device unhindered,
Ì no uorescent tubes, replaces, fans, or ventilation systems
have been installed near the device after its initial setup.
Please contact the hotline at 0800 2001264 (toll-free)
as soon as possible if:
Ì no beep sounds when pressing the user button for more
than 5 sec.
Ì any deviations from the points mentioned above occur.
A functional test does not trigger a signal tone for all grouped
devices. Each device must be tested individually.
If neither Techem nor another service provider has been com-
missioned to perform the mandatory annual functional check
as per the German Institute for Standardization (DIN), it must
be carried out manually by you or your landlord.
When Techem is commissioned with the RWM service plus,
malfunctions are promptly identied by Techem and reme-
diation is initiated, even if you do not notice or report them
yourself.
In addition to automatic function checks, the device manu-
facturer recommends conducting a manual function check at
least once a year to familiarize yourself with the device and
its signals.
To do this, press the user button on the front of the
device until a beep sounds.
CAUTION
Never use an open ame, smoke, or any
other similar means to test the device.
