BasicWebbrowsersystem:Y oucanconnectthecameradirectlytoanIP-capabledevice,
suchasalaptoporPC,usingthesuppliedRayNetcableandRayNet-to-RJ45adapter
cable.Y oucancontrolthecamerathroughtheuserinterface,accessibleviaawebbrowser.
BasicdigitalvideodisplaysystemwithJCU:Y oucanconnectthecameradirectlytoa
primarydigitalvideodisplayviathecamera’sHD-SDIoutputandthesuppliedBNCcable,
orviaHDMIusingasuitablethird-partyvideoconverter(availableseparatelyfroman
electronicsretailoutlet).
BasicanalogvideodisplaysystemwithJCU:Y oucanconnectthecameradirectlytoa
primaryanalogvideodisplayviathecamera’scompositeanalogvideooutputusingthe
BNCconnectoronthecamera’spowercable.
BasicWebbrowsersystemwithJCU:YoucanconnecttheproducttoanIP-capable
device,suchasalaptoporPC,viaanEthernetswitch(usingthesuppliedRayNetcable
andRayNet-to-RJ45adaptercable),andanadditionalEthernetcable.Y oucancontrol
thecamerathroughtheuserinterfaceaccessibleviaawebbrowser,orwithaJCU
unit,alsoconnectedtotheEthernetswitch.
BasicRaymarineLightHouse3multifunctiondisplay(MFD)system:Y oucanconnect
theproductdirectlytoaRaymarineLightHouse3MFDusingthesuppliedRayNetcable.
Y oucancontrolthecameradirectlyusingtheMFD.Foramoreexiblesystem,youcan
installaRayNetswitchbetweenthecameraandtheMFD,andaddaJCUunit(also
connectedtotheRayNetswitch)toprovideadditionalcameracontrols.
Complexsystemwithmultiplecameras,MFDs,andJCUs:WithsufcientRayNetor
Ethernetportsavailableoninstalledswitches,andappropriateRayNetandEthernetcables,
youcanconnectmultiplecameras,MFDs,andJCUstogethertoformanintegratedsystem.
Y oucanuseanyJCUorMFDtocontrolandmonitoranycamera.
4.6Networkconnections
Y ourcamerahasasingleRayNetnetworkconnector.Thisconnectsthecameratoyour
vessel’swiderIPnetwork.Thiscouldbeanexistingthird-partyEthernetnetwork,ora
dedicatedRaymarineRayNetnetwork.
Thedetailsofthenetworkconnectionsbetweenthecamera,videodisplay(webbrowser,
videomonitor,orLightHouse3Raymarinemultifunctiondisplay),controlunit(forexample,a
JCU-2controller)andtherestofyourinstallationdependon:
