Internationa! Unit
of
Conductance
Formerly
Known
as the mho.
Use
the
following
procedure to convert a conductance reading (displayed in siemens) to
equivalent
resistance (in ohms):
1. On
the
Interpolation Table locate
the most significant
digit of
the conductance display under the
DIGIT column
heading.
2. On the
Interpolation Table locate the second most significant digit of the conductancedisplay across from the DIG IT
row.
3.
On the
Interpolation
Table locate the value (of resistance) atthe intersection ofthetwo
digits
in Steps 1
and
2,
then use
the
appropriate
Conversion Scale to determine the position
of the decimal point.
For
Example:
A
reading
of
52.0 nS
is
displayed on
the Multimeter. The Interpolation
Table
shows a value
of .192, Using
the Conversion
Scale,
under
the 200
nS Range
heading, '52.0
nS corresponds to approximately 20
MG. Therefore, the
actual
equivalent
resistance
is 19.2 MD
