Changing the Wi-Fi Hotspot

Note: The vehicle hotspot frequency band
is selectable depending upon your device
capabilities. You will not be able to connect
your device to the vehicle hotspot if it does
not support the selected frequency band.
Select the settings option on the
feature bar.
1. Press Vehicle Hotspot.
2. Press Settings.
3. Press Edit.
4. Select a frequency.

Why can I not see the Wi-Fi hotspot
name when I search for Wi-Fi
networks on my cell phone or other
device?
• Make sure Wi-Fi hotspot visibility is on.
• The system does not provide a Wi-Fi
hotspot at this time.
• Check what frequency the hotspot is
transmitting in the vehicle hotspot
settings menu. If the frequency is 5 GHz
and your device cannot see the
network, change the frequency to 2.4
GHz.
