Routinemaintenance
5.1 GENERAL INFORMATION
Asitwasdesigned,themowerdoesnotneedspecial
maintenance.Anyhow,inordertohavethemachine
workatitsmax.capacityandinordertoconstantly
haveaperfectlyefcientmachine,someprecautions
mustbefollowed.
Weherebelowlist someoperationsofordinary
maintenance.Itisimportanttokeepinmindthat
loweroperatingcostandtheutmostdurability of
themachinedependontheprocedureandconstant
compliancewiththeserules.
Forwhateverproblemorexplanation,contactthearea
dealeroftheManufacturer’stechnicaldepartment.
DANGER
The several maintenance and adjustment opera-
tions shall be performed with the engine shut off
and with the machine well locked on a rm level
ground.
5.2 ENGINE MAINTENANCE
Asfortheenginemaintenance,makereferencetothe
specicengineinstructionsmanual.Approximately,
every8workinghours:checkandtoptheengineoil
levelup,ifnecessary.Check,moreover,theengineair
lterandcleanitifnecessary.Replaceifclogged.
Every50workinghours,replacetheengineoil.
5.3 MACHINE MAINTENANCE
Periodicallywashthemachineandcleanthoroughly
eachpart.Ifahighpressurewashingsystemisused,
checkthatthefueldoesnotgetwetandthatnopart
isdamaged.
Aftereachwashing,itis necessarytolubricateall
partssubjecttofriction.
Periodicallycheckandifnecessaryrestorethegear-
boxoillevel.
Every150workinghours,completelychangetheoil
ofgearbox(onlyuseEP320oil).
Thereplacementmustbedonewhenthemachineis
stillhot,dischargingtheusedoilthroughtheexhaust
hole(2Fig.3)situatedunderthemachine.
Afterdrainingtheoil,putbackthedrainplugandput
in1.3kgofnewoilthroughtheholeintheplug(3
Fig.3).Checktheoillevelafterllingandalsoperi-
odicallybymeansofthescrew(1Fig.3).Thecorrect
levelshouldgrazetheholeofthescrewitself.This
operationmustbecarriedoutwiththemachinein
thehorizontalposition.
5.3.1 ADIUSTMENT OF THE CLUTCH CONTROL
Periodicallycheckthat:
-Inthefreeposition,theclutchcontrollever(7Fig.
1)remainsblockedverticallybythespeciallock-
ingsystem,thatcanbeactuatedbymeansofthe
button(15Fig. 1).If thisdoesnot happen,see
whattheimpedimentisandeliminateit.
Ifanybreakagesarefoundinthelockingsystem,
repairand/orreplaceit.
-Withtheengine off withtheclutch leverallthe
waydown(7Fig.1)andrestingontheknobof
thehandle,theclutchlever(5Fig.4)shouldbe
touchingthescrewheadofreference(maximum
distance2mm).
Ifyouexperiencetoomuchdistance,itisneces-
sarytointerveneintheregister(2Fig.4),tore-
ducethedistanceitselfandallowaproperloadon
theclutch.
Aproperrecordingprovidesadistance,between
theleverandthescrewhead(3Fig.4)between
0.5and2mm,howeveritisbestthatitisaslow
aspossible.
The screw of checking the correct load on the
clutch (3 Fig. 4), should not be removed. Only
whenreplacingtheclutchmayinterveneonsuch
lives,butthiswillbetheexclusivetaskofqualied
personneloranauthorizedServiceCentre.
5.3.2 ADJUSTMENT OF THE
ACCELERATOR CONTROL
Itisstrictlyforbiddento changethelimitssetby
themanufacturer.Ifitisnecessarytoadjusttheac-
celerator,applytoanauthorizedAfter-SalesService
Center.
5.4 EXTRAORDINARY MAINTENANCE
Theoperationsofextraordinarymaintenanceare
notmentioned inthismanual: however,theyshall
beperformedonlybytheManufacturerorbyskilled
personnelauthorizedbytheManufacturerhimself.
