5.5 SETTING AT REST
Incaseyouforeseealongperiodofinactivityforthe
machine,itisnecessary:
- Tocleanthoroughlyalldirtonthemachine.
- Tocheckthecorrecttighteningofthescrews.
- Tocheckandreplace,ifnecessary,thedamaged
orwornparts.
- Tocoattheruinedorabradedpartswithanantitrust
varnish.
- Tolubricate/greaseallpartssubjecttowear.
- Toemptythefueltankandthecarburetorcom-
pletely.
- Tocoverthemachinewithaclothandputitinside,
awayfrombadweathers,freezingandhumidity.
5.6 MACHINE DISMANTLING
Incaseyoudecidetodismantlethemachine,youshall
separateitscomponentsinequalpartswhichmust
bedisposedonebyoneincompliancewiththelocal
regulationsconcerningwastedisposal.
Disposetheexhaustedlubricantsandthe several
detergents,accordingtotheirdifferentstructure.

5.7 SPARE PARTS
Thesparepartsoftheengineunitmustbedirectly
requestedtotheenginemanufactureroritsdealer.
Inordertorequestthesparepartsofthemachine,
contactthelocalDealeroftheManufacturer.
WenallyremindyouthattheManufacturerisalways
atyourdisposalincaseyouneedafter-saleservice
and/orspareparts.
5.8 TROUBLESHOOTING
A) The engine does not start at all:checkwhatfol-
lows:
1) thefuellevelreachesatleastthehalfofthefuel
tank;
2)thefuelcapisopen(ifany);
3)theacceleratorisinSTARTposition(endof
stroke),thecontrolcableisnotreleasedorbroken
andtherichmixturecontrolisworking(«air»-
primer);

4) thattheelectricalcableplacedintheaccelerator
toshutoffthemotorisnotgrounded,evenwhen
theleverisinposition;
5) thefuelreachesthecarburetorortheinjector;
6) theventonthefuelcapisnotclogged;
7) thelteronthecarburetorinletisclean(ifany);
8) thecarburetorjetisclean.Inordertocheckit,
unscrewitandifdirty,cleanitbymeansofanair
jet;
9)
thesparkplugmakessparks(gasolineengines).
Inordertocarryoutthischeck,disassemblethe
plug,connectitagaintothecurrentcable,leanthe
metallicgroundpartandpullslowlytheropeofthe
enginerecoilstarter,asifyouwantedtostartit.
Ifthereisnosparkbetweenthetwoelectrodes,try
tochecktheconnectionsbetweenthesparkplug
cableandifthecurrentdoesnotarriveyet,replace
thesparkplug.Ifalsothisgivesnoresults,the
problemconcernstheelectricsystem,andatthis
pointweadviceyoutocontacttheclosestservice
centeroraspecializedrepairshop.
10) that has not loosened the cord off the motor
connectedtothelever(16Fig1),andfordiesel
engines.
11)andleveroff(16Fig.1)isinthedownposition
(wherepresent).
B) The engine has no power:
1) checkiftheairlterisclean;incaseitisdirty,
removethedirtbymeansof acompressedair
jet;
2) replacethelterincaseitisdirtywithoil,above
allduringthetransportation;
3) enoughgasoil(Dieselengine)arrivestotheinjec-
tor.
C) The machine moves forward with difculty or the
PTO does not work well:
1) Checktheclearancebetweenthescrewandthe
levercontrol,possiblyrecordedasdescribedat
thepoint5.3.1.
2) Checkthattheaccessoryiswellinsertedintothe
PTOquickcoupling.
3) Makesurethattheclutchisnotwornordamaged;
tocheckthisandeventuallychangetheclutch,call
thenearestService.
D) The speeds or the PTO are engaged with dif-
culty:
1) Checkthattheclutchcontrollever(8Fig.1)is
verticalwhenreleased.
2)FacilitatetheengagementofgearsorthePTOby
slowlyloweringtheclutchcontrollever(8Fig.1)
alittle.
