Using your phone
Three-party conference
The phone supports conferencing with two other parties.
To create a three-party conference
1. Place the first call.
2. Press the Conference soft key. The first call will be placed on hold.
3. Call the second party.
4. After the second party answers, press the Conference soft key again.
5. To place the conference call on hold, press the Hold soft key. To continue a conference that is put on hold, press
Resume.
6. To disconnect one of the parties from the conference call:
a. Press the Split soft key
b. Select the party that you want to disconnect.
c. Press the End soft key.
d. Press the Resume soft key.
7. To end the conference call completely and disconnect from both parties, press the End soft key.
Call waiting
When Call Waiting is enabled, the phone will present new calls to you while you are on a call. In order to use call waiting,
it will first need to be enabled in the FortiVoice interface.
To answer an incoming call while on a call, press the Answer soft key. The initial call will be placed on hold. For details
about how to toggle between calls, see the Hold on page 35 section.
DND
When DND (Do Not Disturb) is enabled, you will not be notified of incoming calls.
To enable DND
1. From the main screen, press the DND soft key.
2. At the prompt, enter your voicemail PIN.
The main screen displays the icon.
To disable DND
1. Press the DND soft key again.
The icon disappears from the main screen.
Text message
You can receive text messages from the FortiVoice phone system.
Text messages immediately appear on screen and remain on the screen according to the display time setting configured
by the FortiVoice administrator.
