British Thermal Units (BTUs)
The following are the maximum BTUs for the following devices:
• FES and FESX non-POE devices: 340 BTU/Hr (100 watts) per power supply
• FES2402-POE: 316 BTU/Hr (580 watts) per power supply
• FES4802-POE: 462 BTU/Hr (580 watts) per power supply
Cooling
The cooling fans cool the CPU, main memory, and voltage regulators. The fans use either a push or pull
configuration to move the air from the left side of the device to the right side of the device.
• Total cooling capacity: 80 to 100 watts
• Total air flow: 200 LFM
• Fan operating noise:
• Based on ISO 7779
• < 43 dB-A
Relative humidity
5 to 90%, @ 104° F (40° C), non-condensing
or
20 to 90% non-condensing for DC power
supply
Operating noise Based on ISO 7779.
Based on fan and power supply operating
noise (see “Cooling” on page 7-3 and Table
7.9 on page 7-14).
Storage Environment
Storage temperature
-40
° to 158° F (-40° to 70° C)
Storage humidity 95% maximum relative humidity, non-
condensing
Storage altitude 10,000 feet (3000 meters) maximum
