Getting Started -Installtwo(2)AAAbatteriesinthebatterycompartmentlocatedonthebackoftheunit.
Operation -Theremotecontrolshouldbewithin25feetoftheairconditionerforoperation(refertoFigure340Bforeffectiveness).
Pressthepowerbuttontoturntheremoteon.Theremotewillautomaticallypoweroffafter15secondsifthebuttonsarenot
beingpressed.Theremotemustbeontocontroltheunit.
POWER Button -Turnsremoteandunitonandoff.
MODE Button - Allows the user to sequentially select the following: AUTO,
COOL,HEAT,andFANONLYoperations.Whenthebuttonispressed,thedisplay
indicateswhichmodehasbeenselectedviaadisplaymessage.Notethatwhen
theheatingfunctionisnotavailable,thesystemwillautomaticallyskiptheHEAT
mode.
FAN Button - Selectsbetweenautomatic(AUTOFAN)orCONTINUOUSoperation.
In the AUTO FAN mode, the fan only turns on and off when the compressor
operatesortheheatfunctionisenabled.
NOTE: AUTOFANisnotavailableintheFANONLYMode,thedisplayindicates
CONTINUOUS. In the CONTINUOUS mode, fan speed is determined by your
selectionontheFANSPEEDbutton.
SPEED Button - Used to sequentially select new fan speed, plus AUTO
operation. When the FAN SPEED button is pressed, the fan speed icon
(triangle) changes to indicate the new speed level. Fan speed automatically
variesdependingonthesettemperatureonthecontrolpanelandtheactual
room temperature. For example, if there is a big difference between your
set temperature and the actual room temperature, the system fan speed
increasestoHIGH.Itremainsatthisspeeduntiltheroomtemperature
matchesthesettemperature.
UP and DOWN Arrows - Pressingeither theUPor DOWNbuttonchanges
the desiredroom temperature.The factorypreset lowerand upper limits
are60°F(16°C)and99°F(37°C).Thesebuttonsarealsousedtonavigate
betweenfunctionoptionswhenusingtheUserMenuorMaintenanceMode.
Remote Effectiveness
Handheld Remote - Has an operating range
ofupto25ft.Theinfraredremotecontrol
signalmust haveaclearpathto transmit
thecommand to theair conditioningunit.
The remote signal has some ability to
“bounce” off of walls and furniture similar
