Airconditioners actually pumptheheatandhumidityfromyourroom to theoutside.Humiditybecomeswater,andyourair
conditionerwillusemostofthewatertokeeptheoutsidecoilcool.Ifthereisexcessivehumidity,theremaybeexcesswaterthat
willdripoutside.Thisisnormaloperation.
Frosting
Thisusuallyoccursbecauseofinsufcientairowacrossthecoils,adirtylter,cooldampweather,orallthese.SettheSYSTEM
modetoFANONLYandthefrostwilldisappear.Settingthethermostatalittlewarmerwillprobablypreventthefrostingfrom
recurring.
Noises
Allairconditionersmakesomenoise.Friedrichunitsaredesignedtooperateasquietlyaspossible.Anairconditionermountedin
awallisquieterthanonemountedinawindow.Itisimportanttoensurethatthechassissealgasketisproperlyinstalled(refer
toSPECIFICATIONSFIGURE205).
Unit Cooling Mode
Oncetheambienttemperaturerisespastthecooldemandthreshold(CoolSetPoint+1.5˚F)(seegurebelow),
andthecompressorisnotlockedout,thecoolingcyclebegins.Asshowninthegurebelow,thefanisstarted5
secondspriortothecompressor.Oncetheambienttemperaturehasbeenloweredtothecoolsetpoint(CoolSet
Pointminus.25˚F),thecoolingcyclestartstoterminatebyshuttingoffthecompressor.Aftera30secondsdelay,
