SIM card
Whether or not your device has a SIM card slot depends on whether or
not you have ordered UMTS functionality.
A SIM Ca rd (Subscriber Identity Module) is a chip card which is inserted in a mobile telephone or
notebook to enable access to a mobile radio network in conjunction with an installed UMTS module.
Follow the instructions supplied by the provider of the SIM card.
The S IM card slot is located in the battery compartment and can only
be accessed whe n the battery is removed.
Inserting the SIM card
► Prepare for insertion of the SIM card, see chapter "Prep aring to remove components", Page 61.
► If necessary, open the clip (a) of the SIM card.

► Slide the SIM card into the slot (1)
until it engages, as shown in the
battery compartment.
► Slide the SIM card lock (a) in the
direction of the a rrow (2).
