Please observe the following safety information.
Please pay special attention t o the sections in the ma nual marked
with the symbol on the left.
When connecting and disconnecting cables, observe the relevan t
notes in this operating manual.
To prevent turn injuries or overheating of the device, not not place device directly
on your lap and ensure that the ventilation apertures are not c ove red.
Read the information on the ambient conditions in the "
Technical data", Page 69
chapter and the "First-time setup of y our device", Page 18 chapter b efore preparing
your notebook for use and sw itching it on for the rst time.
When cleaning the device, please observe the relevant notes in th e
section "
Cleaning the notebook", Page 17.
Please refer to the notes in the chapter "
Removing and installing
components dur ing servicing", Page 58.
When handling this device, you will come into co ntact with lead, a chemical which in
California is held to be a possible cause of birth defects and other damage to fertility.
Wash your hands after using the device.
Do not place t he device on uneven or unstable surfaces.
Do not place any objects on the device.
Do not apply any pressure to the device.
Do not use the corners o f t he display t o move it.
Turn the display carefully. In doing so, do not use excessive force.
Lift and carry the device by holding it at the bottom and not just at the display.
Prevent harsh impacts, vibrations and s haking of the device and the display.
On devices with touch screen: Use very little pressure to carefully
tap and write on the display.
Keep the ventilation slots free.
Switch off the device before you put it inside a bag or backp ack.
In emergencies (e.g. damage to the device or power cable, entry of liquids
or foreign objects), immediately switch off the device and disconnect the
AC plug. Short circuit, smoke and/or re may occur as a result. Please
contact your sales outlet or ou r Hotline/Service Desk.
