Setting the Embedded Switch Module IP address

5. Perform the following steps if your workstation uses Linux or UNIX.
a. Enter the following command at the command prompt:
tip /dev/ttyb - 115200
b. When the terminal application stops reporting information, press Enter to display the login
prompt.
c. Enter admin for the username and admin for the password.
6. Use the following Telnet menu options to change the IP address of the selected Embedded
Switch Module.
a. Select (3) Console Redirection from the following Console Menu.

(4) TFTP update
(5) Logout
(6) Reboot Management Blade
(7) System Information Dump
(8) Command Line Interface
(9) Account Management

b. Select (1) Console Redirect Connection Blade from the following Console Redirection
Table.

(1) Console Redirect Connection Blade
(2) Set Return Hotkey , Ctrl+(a character) : Q
(3) Set Console Redirection Timeout : 900
Enter selection or type (0) to quit: 1
c. Select the location where the switch is installed from the following menu.

(2) Console Redirect Connection Blade-2 (Selected:Backup/Restore)
(3) Console Redirect Connection Blade-3
(4) Console Redirect Connection Blade-4

You should now be at the switch login prompt.
7. Verify that you are able to login to the switch:
Login: admin
Password: password
