Preparation Rack model
4.2 Rack model
Ê Terminate all applications and shut down the server correctly.
Ê If your operating system has not switched off the server, press the on/off
button.
Ê Pull all power connectors out of the power outlets.
4.2.1 Opening the server

Ê Loosen the two knurled screws (1) and pull the server as far as possible out
of the rack (2).
Ê Pull the locking lever as far as it will go (see also figure 2 on page 21). This
pushes the top cover backward.
V CAUTION!
Do not use the pulled-out server as a surface on which to put things or
as a work surface, and strictly avoid leaning on or against it.
Ê Remove the top cover.
