5.2.3 STEAM PRESSURE CONTROLS
Pressure controls are mounted on a bracket above the control panel.
Pressure controls are as follows:
Operating pressure transducer
Provides an analogue signal to the boiler controller to control the pressure levels to maintain a
set pressure.4 - 20 mA signal scaled to 0-16 bar.
High Pressure Limiter
Should the operating pressure transducer fail, the steam pressure will rise above the pre-
set limit causing the High Pressure Limiter (set at least 0.5 barg higher than the Operating
pressure transducer) to switch off and lock out the burner.
A High Steam Pressure Indicator will illuminate and an alarm will sound.
Should this happen, switch the boiler to pump only and wait until the steam pressure is
discharged. Check the connection to the pressure switch, replace as required.
