2.6.1 Wiring Restrictions
*Except for the serial connection to a 7100 panel.
RS232

NOTE: All wiring connections are supervised and power limited.*
NOTE: The cable to a 7100 must be in properly sized conduit and less than 20 feet long. The
serial connection from the FPT Gateway to the 7100 panel is not supervised.
NOTE: In Canada, if the gateway is installed in a separate cabinet, the cabinet must be
connected to the Fire Alarm Control Panel (FACP) with a close nipple fitting.
